Everton Women's manager Brian Sorensen confirmed that forward Kelly Gago is available for transfer if a club meets her £500,000 release clause. The French international signed a new three-year contract in July 2025, committing her to the club until June 2028.
Gago joined Everton in January 2025 from FC Nantes, quickly becoming a key player. She scored five goals and provided two assists during the second half of the 2024/25 season.
Reports from L'Equipe indicate Gago has accused Everton of unprofessional conduct, as she seeks a move to Paris Saint-Germain. She claims a verbal agreement with Sorensen allowed her to join PSG this month. Gago submitted a transfer request last month, wishing to return to France to be closer to family.
