Wrexham moved back into the top six of the Championship after a victory against Oxford United at the Racecourse Ground.

Wrexham defeated Oxford United 1-0 on Tuesday to move back into the Championship play-off positions. Phil Parkinson’s side secured the win via a first-half strike from Elliot Lee, moving the club into sixth place on goal difference. The result leaves Wrexham level on 73 points with seventh-placed Hull City with two matches remaining in the regular season, according to Sky Sports.

The victory followed a period of inconsistent form where the north Wales club had won only once in five fixtures. This latest result marks the first time Wrexham have occupied a top-six spot since March. Oxford United remain in 14th position following the defeat, per ESPN.

Parkinson stated after the match that his players showed the necessary composure to handle the pressure of the promotion race. Wrexham next travel to face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. The club seeks a third consecutive promotion after rising from the National League and League One in previous campaigns, as reported by The Guardian.
