Watford have dismissed head coach Ed Still after less than three months at Vicarage Road following the club's failed play-off bid.

Watford have sacked head coach Ed Still after he spent fewer than 90 days in the role. The club confirmed his departure following a failure to secure a place in the Championship play-offs. Still joined the Hertfordshire side in February 2026 to replace Tom Cleverley, but he failed to improve the form of the first team, according to Sky Sports.

Watford finished the regular season outside the top six positions in the table. The board decided to act quickly after the conclusion of the final fixture to begin the search for a new manager. Still previously coached in the Belgian top flight before his move to England earlier this year.

No permanent successor has been named at the time of writing, per The Guardian. The club hierarchy intends to organise a thorough recruitment process before the 2026-27 campaign begins. This marks the latest coaching change for the club, which has employed multiple managers over the last three seasons.
