Manager Rhian Wilkinson noted that the performance lacked clinical finishing despite Wales dominating possession throughout the contest. Albania defended in a deep block which restricted clear scoring opportunities for the visiting side. Per Sky Sports, Wales registered over 20 shots during the match but failed to extend their lead beyond the single goal.
The victory follows an opening 4-0 win against Croatia in Wrexham earlier this month. Wales next face back-to-back fixtures against Ukraine in late May and early June.
