Sheffield Wednesday announced that Arise Capital Partners has completed its takeover of the club today. The US-based investment firm finalised the acquisition from former owner Dejphon Chansiri. The transaction received formal approval from the English Football League following a period of due diligence, according to Sky Sports.
Arise Capital Partners stated it intends to provide long-term financial stability for the men's first team and the wider football operations. The consortium, led by several prominent American investors, expressed a commitment to modernising the club infrastructure and enhancing the recruitment strategy. Chansiri ends a tenure of over nine years at the Hillsborough stadium, per The Guardian.
The new owners have not yet confirmed any immediate changes to the coaching staff or management structure. Details regarding the exact financial value of the deal remain undisclosed. The consortium plans to meet with supporter groups later this month to outline its vision for the future of the Championship side, per The Athletic.
