Tottenham Hotspur have condemned vile and dehumanising online abuse aimed at defender Kevin Danso following a recent match.

Tottenham Hotspur reported racist messages directed at Kevin Danso to the police on 19 April. The club released a statement describing the online abuse as vile and dehumanising. The incident occurred after the defender featured in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Saturday, according to Sky Sports.

The club confirmed it is working with social media platforms and the authorities to identify those responsible for the messages. Spurs officials stated they will seek the strongest possible action against any individual found to be involved. This includes permanent club bans for any supporters identified, per The Athletic.

Danso joined the north London club during the 2024-25 season. The Premier League reiterated its stance against all forms of discrimination, stating that such behaviour has no place in football. Tottenham Hotspur urged fans to report any instances of hate speech through official channels to assist in ongoing investigations into online player safety.
