The Scottish Professional Football League has not mandated Celtic to provide away tickets to Rangers for the final Glasgow derby of the season this month. It advised that the visiting club should receive a reasonable allocation of 5 percent of seats. This recommendation follows a long-standing dispute between the clubs regarding supporter safety and ticket numbers at Parkhead and Ibrox, according to Sky Sports.
Celtic previously indicated they would not provide tickets for the fixture due to safety concerns. The SPFL board met to discuss the matter and determined that while a 5 percent allocation is the target for next season, it cannot be strictly enforced for this specific match. Per STV News, the league body remains hopeful that both clubs will reach a mutual agreement to allow away fans into the stadium. Rangers have previously expressed frustration over the lack of access for their supporters. No formal disciplinary action has been taken against Celtic for the current stance.
