Director Shaun Harvey says the most frequent feedback he receives is from other clubs wishing to replicate Wrexham's current model. Speaking at a football industry event, Harvey noted that the club's growth under the ownership of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds has drawn international attention, per The Guardian.
Since the takeover in 2021, the club has achieved back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One. Harvey stated that the interest from other organisations focuses on how the owners integrated community identity with global branding. Commercial revenues have increased significantly during this period, aided by the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.
According to Sky Sports, Harvey believes the club's trajectory provides a blueprint for others in the lower tiers of English football. He clarified that while the celebrity ownership provided the initial platform, the sustainable growth came from professionalising the internal operations. The club continues to expand its stadium capacity to meet ticket demand for the upcoming campaign, according to official club communications.
