Liam Scales and Luke McCowan have signed new contracts with Celtic, according to the club. Scales, a Republic of Ireland international, agreed to a four-year deal that keeps him at the Glasgow side until 2028. The centre-half joined Celtic from Shamrock Rovers in 2021 and became a regular in the starting line-up during the previous season.
Midfielder McCowan also committed his future to the club by signing a three-year extension. The former Dundee player arrived at Celtic Park in August 2024 and has since established himself within the first-team squad. Per Sky Sports, the 26-year-old midfielder has scored multiple goals since his arrival, including a notable strike against Heart of Midlothian.
Manager Brendan Rodgers praised both players for their contributions to the squad's recent successes. The club currently leads the Scottish Premiership table as they pursue further domestic silverware. These renewals follow several other recent contract extensions as the board organises the squad for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
