Livingston manager Marvin Bartley believes avoiding relegation from the Scottish Premiership would be his greatest professional feat.

Marvin Bartley has claimed that keeping Livingston in the Scottish top flight this season would represent his finest achievement in football. The Lions currently sit at the bottom of the William Hill Premiership table with 19 points after 34 matches. They remain nine points adrift of 11th-placed Kilmarnock with only four fixtures remaining in the post-split schedule, per the SPFL.

Livingston ended a 31-match winless league run on Saturday with a 2-0 victory against St Mirren at the SMiSA Stadium. An Alex Gogic own goal and a Scott Pittman strike secured only their second league win of the campaign, according to The Herald. Bartley stated that the victory provides a lifeline for the club, which had not won a Premiership fixture since August.

The manager praised the mental resilience of his players following the result in Paisley. Livingston next face Aberdeen at the Home of the Set Fare Arena on Friday. Bartley told STV News that survival remains within the team's own hands if they can continue their recent improved form.
