Marco Rose has agreed a deal to take charge of Bournemouth at the end of the current season, according to Sky Sports. The former RB Leipzig head coach replaces Andoni Iraola, who will leave the club when his contract expires in June. The appointment follows a period of negotiations between the Premier League club and the German manager.
Iraola joined the Cherries in 2023 and led the team to a record Premier League points total during his first campaign. However, the Spaniard has decided to move on at the conclusion of the 2025-26 term, per The Athletic. Rose previously managed Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach before his tenure in Leipzig.
Bournemouth officials identified Rose as the primary candidate to maintain the high-pressing style of play established under the previous management. The 49-year-old will begin his role during the upcoming pre-season period. The club has not yet disclosed the specific length of the contract for the new head coach.
