Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen expects a takeover by Arise Capital Partners to be completed before Saturday's final fixture.

Henrik Pedersen is confident that a takeover of Sheffield Wednesday by Arise Capital Partners will be finalised imminently. The Danish manager stated his belief that the deal could be ratified before Saturday's final Championship fixture against West Bromwich Albion. The consortium, led by American businessman David Storch, has been working to meet a 1 May deadline for completion, according to Football League World.

The South Yorkshire club has been in administration since October following the exit of former owner Dejphon Chansiri. Despite a difficult season that saw the Owls relegated to League One in February, a sell-out crowd is expected at Hillsborough for the season finale. Pedersen confirmed that lawyers made significant progress on Wednesday evening to protect the purchase of the stadium, per the Sheffield Star.

Wednesday currently sit 24th in the Championship table with a total of -3 points following an 18-point deduction. Pedersen has won only one of his 45 league matches in charge but is expected to remain as manager for the rebuild next season, according to reports.
