Burnley head coach Scott Parker has left the club following talks with the hierarchy. The decision comes after Burnley finished the 2025-26 Premier League season in the relegation zone. Parker joined the Clarets in July 2024, succeeding Vincent Kompany, but failed to maintain the club's top-flight status, per Sky Sports.
The club confirmed the departure on Thursday morning. Burnley won seven matches during the campaign and ended the season in 18th place. Chairman Alan Pace thanked the 45-year-old for his efforts in a brief statement released by the club. Pace noted that the search for a new head coach will begin immediately as the team prepares for life in the Championship.
Parker previously managed Fulham and Bournemouth in the second tier, achieving promotion with both. His tenure at Turf Moor lasted 10 months. Burnley will now seek their third permanent manager in two years ahead of the 2026-27 season, according to The Guardian. No interim appointment has been confirmed at this stage.
