He initially joined the Italian club as interim manager in December 2023, leading them to promotion from Serie B. Following the appointment of Cesc Fabregas as head coach, Roberts moved into his current backroom role to oversee the club's long-term structure.
His coaching career also includes a spell as assistant manager to Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace between 2021 and 2023.
