Northern Ireland have scheduled an international friendly against Guinea for Thursday, 4 June. The fixture will take place at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain, as part of a summer training camp, according to the Irish Football Association. This meeting marks the first time the two senior men's sides have played each other in an international fixture.
National team manager Michael O'Neill intends to use the match to prepare his squad for upcoming competitive fixtures. Per Sky Sports, the game follows a double-header of friendlies played in March against Romania and Scotland. The Guinea match kicks off at 19:00 local time in Spain.
The Irish FA confirmed that ticket details for the fixture at the 3,000-capacity venue will be released in due course. Guinea currently sit 76th in the FIFA world rankings, while Northern Ireland occupy 73rd position. Following the game in Murcia, O'Neill's side will travel to Palma to face Spain on 8 June.
