Neil Lennon suggests John McGlynn should be considered for the Celtic manager role ahead of their Scottish Cup semi-final meeting.

Neil Lennon believes Falkirk manager John McGlynn deserves to be in the conversation for the vacant Celtic job. The Dunfermline Athletic boss praised his counterpart's work before their Scottish Cup semi-final clash this Saturday at Hampden Park. McGlynn has guided Falkirk to a top-six position in the Scottish Premiership following their promotion last season, according to the Daily Record.

Lennon has led Championship side Dunfermline to their first semi-final in 17 years after victories over top-flight clubs Hibernian and Aberdeen. The Dunfermline manager has won the Scottish Cup eight times as a player and manager, per BetMGM. He remains focused on the local derby despite his comments regarding the future leadership at Parkhead.

Falkirk entered the tie as favourites after a strong top-flight campaign, including a recent 3-2 victory at Motherwell. Dunfermline sit in the Championship promotion play-off places with 47 points from 33 matches. The winners will face either Celtic or St Mirren in the final, per the Scottish FA.
