Linlithgow Rose will not participate in the SPFL pyramid play-offs due to licensing issues, allowing a Brora and Edinburgh final.

Linlithgow Rose are not eligible to participate in this season's SPFL pyramid play-offs, according to the Scottish Lowland Football League. The club won the Lowland League title but currently lack the required bronze level club licence for promotion to the Scottish Professional Football League.

Rose officials confirmed the club submitted a waiver request to the Scottish FA. However, the governing body denied this application, per the Scottish Highland Football League. Regulations state that only clubs holding the necessary licence by a fixed deadline may progress to the play-off stages.

Brora Rangers, the Highland League champions, now receive a bye through the semi-final round. They will face Edinburgh City in the two-legged pyramid play-off final. Edinburgh City finished at the bottom of Scottish League Two this season.

The final matches will determine which club secures a place in the SPFL for the 2026-27 campaign. Brora Rangers previously reached this stage in 2021, while Edinburgh City seek to maintain their professional status.
