Jesse Lingard has detailed his experiences playing for FC Seoul and his perspectives on former club Manchester United.

Jesse Lingard spoke regarding his move to South Korean club FC Seoul and his departure from the Premier League. The former England international midfielder joined the K League 1 side in February 2024 following a period as a free agent, per Sky Sports. Lingard noted the cultural differences in East Asian football compared to his time at Manchester United and West Ham United. He highlighted the physical intensity and fitness requirements of the Korean top flight.

The 31-year-old midfielder also reflected on his final years at Old Trafford. According to The Athletic, Lingard expressed disappointment regarding his lack of game time under various managers after his successful loan spell at West Ham. He cited a desire for regular football as the primary factor behind his decision to move abroad. Lingard remains focused on contributing to FC Seoul's domestic campaign while adapting to his new environment in Seoul. He previously made 232 appearances for United, scoring 35 goals, before leaving the club in 2022.
