Leeds United move eight points clear of bottom three

Leeds United have improved their chances of Premier League survival following consecutive victories against West Ham and Fulham.

Leeds United sit 15th in the Premier League table after recording back-to-back wins. The West Yorkshire club defeated West Ham United 1-0 and followed the result with a 2-1 victory over Fulham. These results moved the team eight points clear of the relegation zone with four matches remaining in the season. According to the Premier League, the club has earned 36 points from 34 fixtures.

Manager Javi Gracia has overseen a period of improved defensive stability. Per Sky Sports, the squad has conceded only one goal across its last two outings. However, the fixture list remains challenging for the remaining weeks. Leeds must still travel to face Manchester City and host Tottenham Hotspur before the campaign concludes.

Competition at the bottom of the table remains close as Everton and Nottingham Forest also secured points recently. Leeds require one more win to reach the 39-point mark, which statisticians at Opta suggest typically ensures safety from the drop, according to The Guardian.
