Frank Lampard and Hayden Hackney have been named manager and player of the season respectively at the 2026 EFL Awards in London.

Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard won the Championship Manager of the Season award on Sunday. The former Chelsea manager received the honour after leading the Sky Blues to Premier League promotion. Coventry secured their top-flight return on Friday following a -1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers. Lampard, who took charge in November 2024, has guided the club to 85 points with three fixtures remaining, per the EFL.

Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney claimed the Championship Player of the Season award. The 23-year-old has recorded five goals and seven assists in 37 league appearances this term, according to playmakerstats.com. Hackney defeated a shortlist that included Coventry goalkeeper Carl Rushworth and Swansea City forward Zan Vipotnik.

Other winners included Michael Skubala of Lincoln City, who was named League One Manager of the Season. Bromley manager Andy Woodman took the League Two coaching accolade. Leicester City midfielder Jordan James won the EFL Young Player of the Season award, per the EFL.
