Ipswich Town have secured promotion to the Premier League, while Hull City confirmed their place in the Championship play-offs.

Ipswich Town secured automatic promotion to the Premier League following a 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town on the final day of the Championship season. The result ensures Kieran McKenna's side finish in the second automatic promotion spot behind champions Leicester City. Ipswich become the first club since Southampton in 2012 to achieve successive promotions from League One to the top flight, according to Sky Sports.

Hull City moved into the play-off positions after defeating Plymouth Argyle 2-1. Results elsewhere confirmed the East Yorkshire club will participate in the post-season tournament. West Bromwich Albion also secured a top-six finish after beating Preston North End 3-0 at The Hawthorns.

Leeds United missed out on automatic promotion despite a high points tally, finishing third in the table after a 2-1 home defeat to Southampton. Daniel Farke's squad must now navigate the play-off semi-finals. Per The Guardian, the first legs of the play-off fixtures are scheduled to begin on May 12.
