The Highland club secured the title and automatic promotion back to the Scottish Championship. According to the Scottish Professional Football League, Inverness finished the season at the top of the standings to ensure an immediate return to the second tier.
East Kilbride made history by clinching the Scottish League 2 title on the same day. Per Sky Sports, the club secured the trophy to confirm their elevation to League 1 for the first time in their history. The result marks a significant milestone for the South Lanarkshire side after several seasons competing in the lower divisions.
Both clubs received their respective trophies in front of their supporters following the conclusion of their matches on 2 May. The SPFL confirmed that play-off positions for the remaining promotion and relegation spots are now finalised across the divisions. Official celebrations took place at the Caledonian Stadium and K-Park Training Academy respectively.
