Jack Grealish has extended his role as a principal ambassador for Special Olympics Great Britain. The Manchester City midfielder first took on the position in 2022 to help raise awareness for the charity, which supports people with intellectual disabilities through sport. Grealish stated he wants to help as much as he can to provide opportunities for others, according to Special Olympics GB.
His involvement with the organisation is personal, as his younger sister, Hollie, has cerebral palsy. The 28-year-old remains a vocal advocate for inclusion and accessibility within the sporting community. Since joining the charity, he has met with numerous athletes and participated in various campaigns to promote its mission, per The Guardian.
Special Olympics GB provides year-round training and competition for 6,500 athletes across England, Scotland, and Wales. The organisation works with volunteers to deliver sessions in 27 different sports. Grealish remains one of the most high-profile supporters of the movement in the United Kingdom, according to Sky Sports.
