Alfie Whiteman has retired from professional football to pursue a career in photography, opening his first exhibition in London.

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman has ended his playing career at 27 to focus on creative interests. Whiteman was part of the Sevilla squad that won the Europa League in 2023, according to The Athletic. He made one first-team appearance for Spurs during a Europa League tie against Ludogorets in 2020.

Whiteman also spent time on loan at Swedish club Degerfors IF, where he made 34 appearances. The London-born player has now transitioned into professional photography and recently launched his debut exhibition, per The Guardian. His creative work extends beyond the camera, as he has also engaged in directing, acting, and performing as a DJ.

Tottenham Hotspur confirmed his departure through official club channels following the expiration of his contract. Whiteman previously represented England at under-17, under-18, and under-19 levels, as reported by the Football Association. His first photography exhibition features portraits and street photography captured during his time living in Sweden and London.
