Nottingham Forest head coach Vitor Pereira is waiting for medical updates on Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a Europa League semi-final.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White faces a fitness test before Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Aston Villa. The playmaker suffered a head injury during a 3-1 Premier League victory at Chelsea on Monday. Gibbs-White sustained a deep facial laceration following a collision with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, according to Goal.

Pereira stated the medical department might need to work "magic" to ensure the player is available for the trip to Villa Park. The head coach confirmed Gibbs-White remained conscious and remembered the incident. Forest lead the all-English tie 1-0 following a first-leg victory at the City Ground, per the Nottingham Post.

The club also monitored defender Zach Abbott after he left the Chelsea match due to a concussion substitution. Forest moved six points clear of the top-flight relegation zone with the win in West London. They are now unbeaten in 10 matches across all competitions, according to the Mirror.
