Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is unlikely to feature again this term after sustaining a hamstring injury against Liverpool.

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite looks set to miss the remainder of the Premier League season. The 23-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during the second half of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. Medical assessments conducted this week suggest the centre-back will not recover in time for the final fixtures in May, according to Sky Sports.

Branthwaite has been a mainstay in the Toffees' backline this season, making 31 league appearances. His absence provides a selection challenge for manager Sean Dyche as the club enters the final month of the campaign. Michael Keane or Ben Godfrey are expected to deputise in central defence for the upcoming match against Brentford, per The Guardian.

Everton currently sit 15th in the Premier League table following the Merseyside derby loss. The club has not yet provided a specific timeline for the player's return to full training, though he is expected to be fit for pre-season in July.
