Barcelona officials state that refereeing decisions led to the club's exit from the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barcelona have formally complained that refereeing errors resulted in the club failing to reach the Champions League semi-finals. The Spanish side allege that several decisions during their quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain caused significant sporting and financial harm.

Ronald Araujo received a straight red card during the first half of the match for a foul on Bradley Barcola. Barcelona manager Xavi was also sent off later in the game for his protests. The club lost the second leg 4-1 at home, resulting in a 6-4 aggregate defeat, according to ESPN.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta has requested that the Royal Spanish Football Federation provide all footage and audio from the match. The club believes a penalty should have been awarded for a challenge on Ilkay Gundogan. Per Sky Sports, the exit has resulted in a loss of potential revenue exceeding £10m. Barcelona exit the competition while rivals Real Madrid progress to the next round.
