Arsenal Women reduced the gap to Women's Super League leaders Manchester City with a seven-goal victory at Meadow Park on Sunday.

Arsenal Women defeated Bristol City 7-0 to move within six points of Manchester City at the top of the Women's Super League table. Beth Mead and Alessia Russo both scored twice during the match on Sunday. Caitlin Foord and Victoria Pelova also contributed goals, while an own goal from Bristol City's Megan Connolly completed the scoring, according to The Guardian.

Manchester City currently lead the league with 49 points from 20 matches. Arsenal occupy third place with 43 points, trailing second-placed Chelsea on goal difference. Chelsea maintain a game in hand over their title rivals, per Sky Sports.

Bristol City remain at the bottom of the division following the result. Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall stated that the team must focus on their own performances for the remaining fixtures. The victory ensures Arsenal remain in contention for a Champions League qualification spot. The north London club has two league fixtures remaining in the current campaign.
