Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood is available for selection again after recovering from a long-term injury. The New Zealand international travelled with the first-team squad to Porto for their upcoming fixture, per Nottingham Forest. Wood has spent six months on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury earlier this season.
The forward last appeared for the club during the autumn. His return provides manager Nuno Espirito Santo with an additional attacking option for the final weeks of the campaign. Wood has scored 12 league goals this season before his layoff, according to the Premier League.
Forest currently occupy 16th place in the Premier League table after 31 matches, per Sky Sports. The team remains involved in European competition as they prepare for the meeting in Portugal. Midfielder Ibrahim Sangare also remains with the travelling party following recent fitness concerns. The club has not confirmed if Wood will start the match or appear as a substitute.
