Spending in women's professional football transfers hit a new record of $28.6 million globally in 2025, FIFA announced in its latest Global Transfer Report. This figure represents an increase of over 80 percent compared to 2024, highlighting significant growth in the sport.

A total of 2,440 international transfers were completed throughout the year, marking a 6.3 percent rise from the previous year. The United States emerged as the largest spending nation, investing more than $4 million in transfer fees. Germany, England, and the USA led in the number of incoming transfers.

Emilio Garcia Silvero, FIFA's Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, noted that the increasing figures confirm the exponential growth of the women's game at club level. The mid-year transfer window alone saw over 1,100 international transfers, with fees exceeding $12 million.
