Florian Wirtz has spoken about his early challenges at Liverpool following his record-breaking transfer in summer 2025. The German midfielder joined Anfield for a fee reportedly around £100m from Bayer Leverkusen, becoming the Premier League's most expensive signing. Wirtz, the youngest of ten children, also revealed details about his family life, which includes nine siblings and a dog named Zoomer, according to BBC Sport. The twenty-two-year-old also touched upon his hobby of playing padel. Before his move to Merseyside, Wirtz made Bundesliga history as the youngest goalscorer in the league's history at 17 years and 34 days in June 2020, playing for Bayer Leverkusen against Bayern Munich.
