West Ham Women Sign Norway Defender Hansen

West Ham United Women have completed the signing of 28-year-old Norway international defender Tuva Hansen from Bayern Munich.

West Ham United Women announced the permanent transfer of Tuva Hansen on Wednesday. The 28-year-old Norway international defender joins from Frauen-Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. Hansen, who will wear the number five shirt, becomes Head Coach Rita Guarino's fourth signing of the January transfer window.

The experienced defender brings significant honours, having won three German top-flight titles, the DFB Cup, and two Supercup titles with Bayern Munich. She made 77 appearances during her three years at the German club, joining in January 2023.

Hansen previously captained SK Brann to consecutive Toppserien titles in Norway. She has also represented her country in three major tournaments, including the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Hansen expressed her happiness to join West Ham, stating she looks forward to testing herself in the Barclays Women's Super League.
