West Ham United officially announced the permanent transfer of Adama Traore from Fulham today, 28 January 2026. The Spanish international winger joins the Hammers for an undisclosed fee. Traore's contract with West Ham runs until the summer of 2026 and may be extended by mutual agreement.
The 30-year-old reunites with West Ham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, having played under him for three seasons at Wolverhampton Wanderers between 2018 and 2021. Traore has made 262 Premier League appearances, scoring 14 goals and registering 25 assists across spells with Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Wolves, and Fulham. This season, he made one Premier League start and 14 substitute appearances for Fulham.
West Ham hopes Traore's "unique qualities" will help the club in attacking areas, according to Nuno Espirito Santo. The winger is expected to be available for selection for the Hammers' Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.
