Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has dismissed suggestions that the squad is indifferent to the club's recent results.

Micky van de Ven stated it is "the biggest nonsense" to suggest Tottenham Hotspur players do not care about the team's form. The defender spoke following a period of inconsistent results for the North London club. He insisted the squad remains committed to improving their current standing, according to Sky Sports.

Tottenham currently sit seventh in the Premier League table after 28 matches played. The team has recorded 14 wins, five draws, and nine defeats during the 2025-26 campaign. Van de Ven emphasised that the players feel the pressure and are working to rectify mistakes, per reporting from The Guardian.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou has also defended his players' application during recent training sessions. The club recently suffered a 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace, which led to increased scrutiny from supporters. Van de Ven joined Tottenham from Wolfsburg in 2023 and has become a regular fixture in the starting eleven when fit. The Netherlands international signed a contract with the club that runs until June 2029.
