Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Igor Tudor has told his squad they must fight to avoid relegation following a run of poor results.

Tottenham Hotspur interim head coach Igor Tudor has challenged his players to improve their mentality as the club faces a battle against relegation. Tudor replaced Ange Postecoglou earlier this month following a sequence of defeats that left the North London side in the bottom three. The Croatian coach stated that his squad can either "cry or fight" during the final weeks of the Premier League season, according to Sky Sports.

Spurs currently sit 18th in the table after a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United on Tuesday. It is the first time the club has occupied a relegation spot this late in a campaign since the 1970s. Tudor told reporters that the team lacked aggression and defensive organisation during recent fixtures, per The Guardian.

Tottenham face a difficult run of matches against Manchester City and Liverpool before the end of the month. Tudor confirmed that several senior players remain sidelined with injuries as the club prepares for a crucial home fixture against Brentford on Sunday.
