Tottenham seek manager after Tudor departure

Football

Tottenham Hotspur are searching for a new head coach following the exit of Igor Tudor, according to Premier League reports.

Tottenham Hotspur have removed Igor Tudor from his position as head coach after a period of poor results. Chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange are now leading the search for a permanent successor. Tudor joined the club to replace Ange Postecoglou but failed to maintain a top-four challenge.

Spurs currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table following a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, per Sky Sports. The hierarchy aims to appoint a manager who aligns with the long-term recruitment strategy implemented by Lange. Several candidates are under consideration, though the club has not set a formal deadline for the appointment.

Ryan Mason has taken charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found, according to The Guardian. The club previously faced criticism for recruitment decisions and seeks stability to secure European qualification. Tottenham face Chelsea in their next league fixture on Saturday.
