Spurs target De Zerbi for vacant head coach role

Tottenham Hotspur are seeking to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their new permanent manager following the exit of interim boss Igor Tudor.

Tottenham Hotspur want to convince Roberto De Zerbi to become their new permanent head coach, according to Sky Sports. The North London club is searching for a long-term successor following the departure of interim boss Igor Tudor. Tudor recently left the role after a short spell in charge of the first team.

De Zerbi is currently unattached after leaving Marseille earlier this year, per reports from The Guardian. The Italian manager previously coached Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League before moving to France. Spurs officials consider him a primary candidate to lead the squad into the next season.

Tottenham currently sit sixth in the Premier League table after 30 matches, following a 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday. The club hierarchy intends to finalise the appointment before the summer transfer window opens. No formal agreement has been reached yet, but discussions are expected to continue this week, according to football London.
