Motherwell midfielder Callum Slattery has received a four-game suspension following a fast-track Scottish FA disciplinary hearing.

Motherwell midfielder Callum Slattery has been handed a four-match ban for simulation during a Scottish Premiership fixture against St Mirren. The Scottish FA confirmed the sanction after a fast-track tribunal held on Thursday. The incident involved Slattery falling in the penalty area, which led to a red card for St Mirren defender Richard King.

Referee Matthew MacDermid initially dismissed King for a second bookable offence after a challenge on Slattery. However, St Mirren officials contested the decision, leading to a review by the compliance officer. The tribunal rescinded King's red card and subsequently charged the Motherwell player with 'A2' simulation, according to the Scottish FA.

Slattery will miss Motherwell's upcoming league fixtures as a result of the ruling. The midfielder joined the Lanarkshire club from Southampton in 2021 and has been a regular starter this season. Motherwell have not yet commented on whether they intend to appeal the length of the suspension, per Sky Sports. The ban takes immediate effect for the next domestic match.
