Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will depart Liverpool when his contract expires following the conclusion of the current campaign.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah announced he is to leave the club at the end of the season. The Egypt international, who joined the Merseyside club in June 2017, confirmed his intention to depart as a free agent when his current contract expires this summer. Salah made the announcement following Liverpool's recent fixture, as reported by Sky Sports.

During his eight-year tenure at Anfield, the 33-year-old forward has won the Premier League, the Champions League, and the FA Cup. He currently sits among the top five all-time goalscorers for the club. Per The Guardian, Salah stated that this will be his last season at the club and he wants to enjoy it without focusing on contract negotiations.

The forward has scored over 200 goals for Liverpool since his arrival from Roma. Club officials have not yet commented on potential replacements for the attacker. Salah remains a central figure in the squad as they compete for domestic and European honours in the final months of the season, according to ESPN.
