Guro Reiten has ended her six-year spell with Chelsea Women to join Gotham FC in the United States. The Norway international won 13 trophies during her time in London, according to Chelsea FC. Her honours include six Women's Super League titles and five FA Cups. She also helped the club win two League Cups and reach the 2021 Champions League final.
Reiten arrived at Chelsea from LSK Kvinner in 2019 and made 189 appearances for the Blues. She scored 45 goals during her tenure and provided numerous assists from the left wing. The 31-year-old midfielder has now signed a contract with the New Jersey-based club through the 2026 season, per Gotham FC.
General manager Yael Averbuch West stated that Reiten's experience would be a significant asset to the American team. Gotham FC currently competes in the National Women's Soccer League and features several international players. Reiten departs as one of Chelsea's most decorated players, having played a central role in their domestic dominance under former manager Emma Hayes.
