Rangers have confirmed the acquisition of German striker Ryan Naderi from Hansa Rostock. The 22-year-old joins the Ibrox club on a long-term deal, subject to international clearance. Naderi becomes manager Danny Röhl's fourth winter signing.
The transfer fee for Naderi is reportedly around €5.5 million, potentially rising to €6 million, with Hansa Rostock retaining a 20 percent sell-on clause, according to Sky Sports Germany. This deal is expected to be the most expensive departure in German third-tier history.
Naderi, a forward, scored eight goals and provided five assists in 18 appearances for Hansa Rostock this season. He previously played for Dynamo Dresden and Borussia Monchengladbach. Manager Danny Röhl expressed his delight, stating Naderi has "a lot of potential" and can be taken to the "next level" at Ibrox.
