FC Supra du Québec will make its Canadian Premier League debut in April 2026, becoming the ninth team in Canada's top-flight men's football league. The club, based in Laval, Quebec, will play its home matches at Stade Boréale, located in the Greater Montreal area.
The new club draws inspiration from Spanish side Athletic Bilbao, which exclusively fields players from the Basque region. Supra du Québec plans to adopt a similar philosophy, aiming for a roster composed entirely of players born or raised within the province of Quebec. This commitment seeks to develop local talent and provide a clear professional pathway for Québécois footballers.
Club president Rocco Placentino, a former Canada international, stated this approach will showcase the province's footballing ability. FC Supra du Québec officially launched on September 24, 2025, and is scheduled to play its inaugural match on April 11, 2026, against Pacific FC.
