The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has confirmed that Paris St-Germain wish to reschedule their league match against RC Lens. The capital club submitted the request to allow more preparation time for their upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool, according to Sky Sports. PSG currently sit at the top of the Ligue 1 table, while Lens occupy second place.
The LFP previously adjusted the domestic calendar to assist French clubs in European competitions, per Reuters. The governing body stated it is currently reviewing the request alongside the relevant broadcasters and authorities. RC Lens have not yet issued an official response regarding the potential change of date for the fixture at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
PSG progressed to the last eight of the Champions League after defeating Real Sociedad in the previous round. The quarter-final first leg against Liverpool is scheduled for next month. The LFP aims to finalise a decision on the rescheduling by the end of this week, per ESPN.
