Burnley manager Scott Parker says the current campaign might be viewed as a failure as the club struggles against relegation.

Burnley manager Scott Parker admitted the club's current season could be seen as a failure given their league position. The Clarets remain in the relegation zone with eight matches remaining in the Premier League season. Speaking ahead of Saturday's fixture, Parker stated that while results have been disappointing, he remains focused on a bigger picture for the club's long-term development.

Burnley currently sits 19th in the table, six points adrift of safety following a run of four consecutive defeats. According to the Premier League, the team has secured only four victories throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign. Despite the poor form, the board has not made a change in management.

Parker noted that the pressure of the relegation battle has affected the squad's confidence in recent weeks. However, he insisted the players are working to improve their defensive record, which is the second worst in the division, per Sky Sports. Burnley travels to face Brentford this weekend in a critical match for their survival hopes.
