Former England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will undergo a medical on Saturday before signing with Celtic. Manager Martin O'Neill confirmed the 32-year-old midfielder is set to join the Scottish champions for the rest of the 2025/26 campaign.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a free agent since leaving Turkish side Besiktas in August 2025. He had been maintaining his fitness by training with his former club, Arsenal. O'Neill expressed his delight at the impending arrival, stating Oxlade-Chamberlain is keen to play and get fit quickly.
The deal is understood to be a free transfer. Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be eligible for Celtic's upcoming Europa League ties against Stuttgart due to registration deadlines. The short-term agreement could include an option for a longer stay if he impresses.
