O'Neill Hopes For Full Celtic Allocation At Ibrox

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill hopes his club will receive a full ticket allocation for next month's Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox.

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill expressed his hope for a full ticket allocation for the club's Scottish Cup quarter-final against Rangers at Ibrox next month. The highly anticipated tie is scheduled for the weekend of March 7/8, 2026. Celtic could receive more than 10,000 tickets, potentially allowing the club to fill the entire Broomloan Road Stand at Ibrox.

Scottish Cup rules permit visiting clubs to claim up to 20 percent of the home stadium's capacity, which at Ibrox equates to around 10,000 to 11,000 seats. This potential increase contrasts sharply with recent Old Firm league fixtures, where away allocations have been significantly reduced to approximately 2,000 tickets following previous disputes and safety concerns.

Police Scotland has confirmed that ticket allocation remains a matter for the clubs and football authorities, rather than a police decision. An agreement between both Glasgow clubs, along with the Scottish Football Association, will be required to finalise the number of visiting supporters permitted for the cup clash.
