Four players will be absent from the Northern Ireland squad for Tuesday's friendly against Wales in Cardiff.

Ali McCann, Ruairi McConville, Paddy McNair, and Bailey Peacock-Farrell will miss Northern Ireland's friendly match against Wales. The fixture takes place at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, according to the Irish Football Association. Manager Michael O'Neill confirmed the absences following the recent 1-1 draw against Romania in Bucharest.

Midfielder McCann and defender McConville both started in that fixture but have now withdrawn from the travelling party. Goalkeeper Peacock-Farrell and defender McNair, who also featured against Romania, are the other two players unavailable for the match in Wales. No replacements have been called into the squad, per Sky Sports.

Northern Ireland enter the match following the draw in Romania, where Jamie Reid scored on his international debut. The team will finalise preparations in Cardiff on Monday evening. The Welsh FA confirmed that the match remains a sell-out as both nations continue their international schedules. This friendly marks the final fixture of the current international window for O'Neill's side.
