The sportswear company confirmed it is working to resolve a fault that affects various national kits, including the England men's team strip. According to The Guardian, the problem relates to the durability and application of the crests and logos on the high-performance material.
The issue emerged during final quality control checks ahead of the tournament's commencement in June. It is reported by Sky Sports that the investigation involves the "Dri-FIT ADV" technology used in the latest player-specification garments. Nike stated it is collaborating with national federations to ensure replacements reach squads before the opening fixtures.
No official recall of replica shirts sold to the public has been announced at this stage. The Football Association remains in contact with the manufacturer regarding the delivery of corrected matchday kits for the England squad. Similar reviews are reportedly taking place for other Nike-partnered nations participating in the tournament, per industry sources.
