The 24-year-old joined Aston Villa Women from Liverpool in the summer of 2024. She has earned caps for the England senior team and previously represented the nation at the under-23 level. The midfielder noted that she and her partner were heartbroken but expressed gratitude for the medical care received.
Aston Villa Women released a statement offering full support to Kearns and her family, per Sky Sports. The club requested privacy for the player as she continues her recovery.
