Mercury13 co-founder Victoire Cogevina Reynal has departed the football investment group. The exit comes five months after the company secured a majority stake in Bristol City Women. The group also owns Italian side Como Women, according to The Guardian.
Cogevina Reynal founded the group alongside Mario Malavé with the goal of investing $100m into women's football clubs globally. Malavé remains as the sole chief executive after the departure. The group aims to build a portfolio of teams across Europe and Latin America, per SportsPro.
Bristol City Women became the second club in the network during September 2025. The Lansdown family retained a minority shareholding in the team following the deal. Mercury13 is currently working to return the club to the Women's Super League, according to club statements. The ownership group previously stated it intends to provide a blueprint for independent women's club management.
